Every great movement begins with a simple but powerful realization.

Rise For Nature was established in response to the growing environmental challenges facing communities across Cameroon. Deforestation, declining biodiversity, unsustainable agricultural practices, poor waste management, and the increasing effects of climate change were placing enormous pressure on ecosystems and the people who rely on them for survival.

Rather than viewing these as isolated environmental issues, we recognized that they were deeply connected to poverty, unemployment, food insecurity, gender inequality, and limited access to environmental education.

We believed that communities should not merely be beneficiaries of conservation efforts. They should be leaders, innovators, and partners in designing and implementing solutions.

What began as a commitment to environmental stewardship has evolved into a growing movement that works with local communities, schools, youth groups, women’s associations, civil society organizations, government institutions, researchers, and development partners to protect natural resources while creating opportunities for sustainable growth.

Each project we undertake reflects our commitment to building resilient communities that are equipped to adapt to environmental challenges while preserving the ecosystems that sustain life.
